Well our vacation to South Dakota did not start out well. I ended up getting the flu bug Friday morning so that put a delay on our departure. We thought we would have half a day on Friday to see all my family, but we did not arrive until after 8 pm and I went right to bed.
Saturday I was over it and we were able to get on with our vacation. The girls had fun playing at the park, swimming, and boating. They also loved the bonfires we had at night and the fact that they stayed up 2 hours past their bedtimes. Brayden went for his first boat ride. He did not like his life jacket at all, but as long as the boat was going he was fine.
It was so fun to see all my family and hang out.
Our vacation also ended on a poor note. Nana(my mom got the flu bug on the way home). Just pray for our family that the bug stops there. We are having a hard time getting this one to pass.
I will post more pics from vacation over the next few days as I have time.

More funny things kids say......
A part of this blog is for me to have a record of things the kids say and do. It is so fun to look back and remember these things. So here are a few things that have been said in the last 6 months.
Taylor and Rylee came to visit me in the bath tub. My sweet Rylee asked if Mommy had another baby in her tummy. Taylor quickly says No. I said how do you know. She looks at me and smiles and says because mommy you are only a little fat.
Taylor had one of her toys break that was not even fabric and she says don't worry mom Gramie can sew it. I told her you can't sew this and she says well daddy can fix it mom because you are not so good at fixing things.
I was changing Brayden and I made a comment about his tail and Rylee looks at me and says mom it is not his tail it is his wiener. I said Rylee where did you hear that-NANA.

Start of a new thing........
Well we are going to start a new thing. A blog to keep you all updated on our life and our kids. Thanks April for the idea.
Well this week has not been very fun. Todd and the girls have had the flu. Me and Brayden seem to be fighting the germ. So I hope we don't get it.
On a fun note. Taylor was so sick and after an episode of throwing up she sits up and looks at me and says mom did you know Jesus is taking care of me and watching over me. I told her yes. She says it is because Jesus lives in her heart. WOW amazing faith for a 4 year old.
A few other things the kids have said lately that have been fun to hear. Taylor said her dreams never come true so I asked her what she wants to come true. She said she wants the real Bob and Larry to come to her door.
Rylee the other day wanted to know why my mom had so many lines on her face (sorry Nana). And while out with Nana Rylee loudly said she did not like the polk a dots on a little girls face (freckles). Again sorry Nana how embarassing.
