A trip to the zoo

The flamingos at Como Zoo
The kids at the zoo

Looking at the fish and turtles

We are studying space right now for school. So we made space hats and tried to fly to the moon.

Here was our rocket ship we built. Another way we tried to get to the moon. The kids had fun learning about the sun and moon. They had lots of fun using their imagination.

The girls with their Ariel hair on. Part of their Halloween costumes.
Well we have arrived. We finally have high speed Internet. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't get it in our area so we had to go with an air card from Sprint. It is so fun. The girls were able to play some games at Disney.com and we were able to look at the Disney World page to plan some stuff for our upcoming trip.
School has been going good. I find that I enjoy it and the kids love it. We took a field trip to the zoo today. In 2 weeks we start learning to read so I am a little nervous about that.

Our silly dog Abby.

Just a few pictures from our Labor Day weekend. We went to Todd's parent's cabin in Alexandria. The kids had fun playing on the beach and going swimming. Todd was able to do a little fishing.
Part of the weekend we stayed at Todd's grandparent's farm that they just recently sold. Todd wanted to spend one last time there. He has very fond boyhood memories there. We were able to have some really nice things passed down to us from his grandparents. We now have a nice wooden high chair that was used by Todd's mom when she was a baby and Todd has his grandpa's lawn mower, guns and some tools and Todd's dad bought grandpa's big tractor. It is nice to see these things stay in the family. It was hard for Todd and his family to say bye to the farm.

State Fair

Once we got done with our first day of school; I took the girls to do something special. We dropped Brayden off with Nana and we jumped on a bus to the state fair. It was special just to do something with the girls. Of course they enjoyed eating tons of different foods, they went on lots of rides and we seen a pig be born at the Miracle Birth Center. Here are a few pictures of our day.

First day of Kindergarden.............

We are just about to finish our second week of school. The girls are loving being in school. Homeschooling has been a huge change for me. I don't have much free time anymore. We have a pretty set schedule we follow. Plus I am working a couple of evenings a week. So far I am really enjoying doing school with them. It is so rewarding to see them learn something new and to be so proud of themselves. Here are a few pictures from their first day of school.

Our fun day in Stillwater and a few more pictures from Bemidji

Today I took the kids to mine and Todd's special place, Stillwater. This is where me and Todd like to go away for our anniversaries. When we were there this past May we discovered a place called Teddy Bear Park. A side note I am so proud of myself for bringing them here all by myself. 11 years ago when Todd and I met I always needed him or someone to go anywhere with me. I was not very independent at all. However, now I bring the kids tons of places all by myself. For me to do all the freeways it takes to get to Stillwater and to do this all day adventure was so good for me. I am glad I am able to help the kids create such fun memories.

The kids loved Teddy Bear Park. There was so many fun things for them to play with there. They loved climbing on all the rocks that line the whole park. Of course they thought all the stone statues of the teddy bears were cool too.

After playing at the park we went down to the river and had a picnic lunch. Our first ever. That was tons of fun. Brayden even sat there and ate. We also took a stroll along the river(my kids looked a little silly cause I made them where their life jackets. After that we went to a candy shop and a few other neat shops and of course we had to stop and have an ice cream cone.
